Local
dentist nominated for Sensodyne Sensitive Dentist Awards
Ian
Grime of Newcastle has been shortlisted for the Sensodyne
Sensitive
Dentist Awards it was announced today. Along with 20 other
dentists across
the nation, Ian will enter the final round of judging for
the title of
Britain's Most Sensitive Dentist, to be held at the end of
September.
Sensodyne
has been inundated with nominations since the launch of the
first
ever Sensitive Dentist Awards in May. Since then, patients
from across the
country, have been clamouring to nominate their dentists for
the prestigious
awards.
The
awards are aimed at modernising the public's outdated perception
of
dentists - demonstrating that they are skilled professionals
who provide a
high level of customer care not the pain inflicting stereotype
on the past.
Ian
of Kyleville Dental Practice, Newcastle received many nominations
from
patients. All the nominations praised his 'chairside' manner
and his
ability to make his patients - both young and old - comfortable
and relaxed.
When asked for further details about Ian, one patient commented,
"The whole
experience of visiting Ian's practice is enjoyable -the friendly
greeting at
the door by the receptionist, the calm waiting room and the
informed and
relaxed treatment. I feel extremely lucky to have found Ian
as my dentist
and have recommended him to all my friends."
The
judging panel will meet in September to choose the overall
winner of the
Sensodyne Sensitive Dentists Awards. The panel includes First
Direct's
customer service expert, Matthew Higgins and editor of the
International
Dental Journal, Dr. Stephen Hancocks OBE. Matthew will be
focusing the
increasingly important element of customer service and 'chairside'
manner
while Stephen will be examining the professionalism of the
dentists.
Commenting
on the awards, Sensodyne's Marketing Manager, Andy Greene
said,
"It's the first year we have run these awards, and the
response has been
phenomenal, we've been inundated with nominations from all
over the country.
We've discovered dentists, such as Ian, who are true ambassadors
for the
dental industry. They're prepared to go that extra mile to
ensure their
patients feel completely at ease and leave looking forward
to their next
appointment."
